Dhal Recipe Version 2

Ingredients

  •  Soaked Dhal for 1 hour (removed soaked water coz it contains lotsa gas!)
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 3 stalk curry leaves
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • Salt
  • 1-2 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 chicken stock cube
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seed

Method

  1. Heat ghee oil into a pot, quickly add in cut onions, ginger, garlic and mustard seeds, cumin, cloves
  2. Add in dhal with water 1.5 inch above your dhal
  3. Add in turmeric, green chillies, salt, tomato, chicken cube
