Garlic Rice Recipe


  • 2 cups Basmati rice, washed and drained
  • 4 cups water, adjust accordingly
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 25gm butter
  • 1 and 1/4tsp salt
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • 5tbsp grated carrot
  • A little pinch of anchovies stock (optional)


  1. Wash and drain rice, add garlic, butter, salt, turmeric power, carrot and anchovies stock into a bowl.
  2. Steam for 30 minutes
