Putu Mayam or Idiyappam Recipe

Ingredients

Omit this ingredients if you’re using Idiyappam mix flour

  •  1 Cup Rice Flour
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Salt to taste

Method

(This method is for those using Idiyappam mix flour in packet form)

  1. Boil 600ml water
  2. Remove from heat
  3. Then mix Idiyamppam mix flour into hot water to make a dough (500gm iddiyappam ready mix flour)
  4. Press into string hoppers using idiyappam presser
  5. Steam for 5 minutes
  6. Served with grated coconut and gula melaka or palm sugar
