I’ve been eating bland, no taste food for my daily menu for health reason and also to maintain my weight of 44kg at 157cm (previously 57 – 58kg in 2008-2009). My food taste so bland sometimes i wish for Cheezels, croissant bread, cakes, burgers and many more delicious food.
Anyway, if i eat those “delicious food” everyday, i knew i’ll put on weight or even get sick. That’s why i came up with this “mix and match” of spices to enhance my brown rice flavor.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
- 1 tsp jintan manis (fennel)
- 1 tsp jintan putih (cumin)
- 1 tsp of thalipu (Indian spice)
- 2 tbsp of sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp of ketumbar seeds (coriander)
- 1 piece of lawang (star anise)
- 1/4 tsp of kayu manis(cinnamon)
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients and store inside fridge.
- Put 2 tbsp of ingredients when you boil rice.
Update: 13th October, 2011 – For my version 2 tasty spices I’ve added more ingredients; More than 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
